Unscrambling Our Recycling World

Introduction: This is a fun page to help review terms involved in Solid Waste Management. This could be used as a follow-up activity to the Meaning of Recycling.

Worksheet

  1. Distribute the worksheet to each student.
  2. Review the directions to the worksheet and have the students complete it individually.
  3. At the bottom of the worksheet have the children choose three more words dealing with solid waste management and scramble them. (If the Meaning of Recycling worksheet has been done prior to this sheet, words from that sheet could be used.)

Additional Activity

Use the worksheet to begin a "recycling dictionary." As the class discovers more words, have them add the words to their dictionaries.
